My name is Edward Ha, and I’m a tattoo artist from Los Angeles, CA. Where do I begin? This White Tiger Qigong 5 animal qigong teacher training has been so amazingly life-changing for me. This was my first time going to any kind of wellness retreat, so I really didn’t know what to expect going into it. It was definitely way out of my comfort zone, but it was everything I needed. I went with the intention to heal, to find out what it means to be embodied, and to learn what it means to be embodied, and that’s exactly what I got. There was a lot of emotional healing that happened. I got to process a lot of emotions, and I had a lot of help from the teachers. I’d like to thank my brothers and sisters for holding space for me and being so kind and understanding. I was going through a literal ego death at this retreat, but it was much needed. I’m so grateful for Bree! I’m so grateful for her kindness and compassion. She really helped me to bring awareness to what I needed to work on. It’s definitely changed how I approach everything in life. I love how there was such a deep sense of connection that everyone shared. It was such an amazing and eventful experience. All the other students were so supportive in helping me through my process while I was going through my own shadow work. It truly felt like a family. We danced together, sang together, and we shared stories together. I’m really grateful to have been around so many amazing teachers and coaches in their own practice all in one area. It was so inspiring for my own path, and it’s given me so much more clarity and insight on how I want to move forward in my own life.
Before coming to this retreat, I was running into a lot of back problems. I had tension in my neck. I knew I was stiff, but I didn’t realize how stiff I was until I actually experienced how limited my mobility was in practice. I’m going, to be honest; my first week at the retreat was very rough for me. I went in with a lot of expectations towards myself, really wanting to get the movements right, and I was really trying so hard to the point that I was hurting myself. But then I realized I was missing the point of the practice. It definitely humbled me and allowed me to realize some patterns in my own life. It really brought to the surface a lot of tension that I was holding before that I was very much numb to. It really brought to light what needed to be healed. I just didn’t know how to go about it. But great news! It’s been only a couple of months, and my mobility has returned 70-80%.
I started every morning with a dip in the hot springs at 5:30 am. It was such a new feeling for me and it felt like a dream. The classes were amazing, the teachers were so attentive towards our separate needs, the food was amazing, and the staff at Alba Wellness was super friendly, respectful and everyone was super genuine in making sure we were well taken care of And well tended to and the activities that were made available really topped it all off, the onsen and massages were so nourishing, and the 1000 ft zip line was just breathtaking. it was all a very new experience for me and it took a bit of getting used to for myself but all in all, it was a 10 out of 10 experience and I can’t wait to go back
I really enjoyed every bit of this retreat, but most of all, the wisdom and knowledge I received from this retreat have been so helpful in my own daily life. I’ve taken home a practice that has allowed me to find so much more peace happiness and groundedness in my daily life. I’m so grateful to Tevia and the teachers for all the time, energy, and heart they put into creating such a beautiful medicine space and for doing this good work, and for sharing this wisdom and ancient knowledge. Their passion has truly inspired me in my own life, and I look forward to continuing my journey with White Tiger.
White Tiger Qigong has had such a big influence on my life and has allowed me to connect with my body and my energy in such a profound way that has enabled me to heal my own nervous system, and I’m feeling the effects bringing huge shifts to my life. This practice has helped me to heal my own back and neck pain, and I’ve learned how to build a healthier relationship with my own emotions. I’ve learned to listen and not react. This practice has also been great in helping me in my work and career. It’s really helping me to cultivate stronger relationships with my clients and with others, but most importantly with myself. Becoming
aware of my own pain has definitely allowed me to feel deeper compassion and empathy for those around me and for humanity, and I really look forward to serving my community in a good way. This retreat has truly been a stepping stone in my self-awareness journey and has truly helped me to look at my energy in a new light, thank you, Master Feng and Natalia, raja, and everyone else on the path, thank for all the good thing that you are all doing for yourself and for the world, I’m truly honored to call myself a student of white Tiger.
