Qigong, an ancient Chinese practice, integrates gentle movements, focused breathing, and mindfulness to cultivate and harmonize Qi, the vital life force energy within us. By harnessing the power of Qi, Qigong aims to optimize the functioning of our physical, mental, and emotional well-being. When it comes to eyesight improvement, Qigong takes a holistic approach, addressing the physical, energetic, and emotional aspects of vision.
This is a good qigong for eyesight exercise. First, start by gently massaging the acupressure points around your eyes using your fingertips. And then, Apply a light pressure in circular motions, stimulating the flow of Qi to the eye area. This practice relaxes the eye muscles and prepares them for the upcoming exercises.
Sit comfortably, close your eyes, and rub your palms together vigorously until they feel warm. Then, place your warm palms over your closed eyes, creating a soothing cocoon of darkness. Afterwards, allow the warmth and darkness to relax your eyes, reducing strain and promoting a sense of calm. Do this effective qigong for eyesight exercise to help nurture eyesight.
Open your eyes and focus on a fixed point ahead. Begin slowly rolling your eyes in a circular motion, without moving your head. Start with clockwise rotations afterwards, switch to counterclockwise rotations. This exercise promotes flexibility and mobility in your eye muscles.
Select a distant object or symbol to focus your gaze on. Keep your eyes fixed on the target as you gradually bring it closer to you. Maintain a clear and steady focus throughout the movement. Sit comfortably and blink rapidly for a few seconds, around 10 to 20 times. Then, close your eyes and allow them to rest. This exercise helps to moisturize and rejuvenate your eyes, which helps in preventing dryness and promoting overall eye health.
Sit in a relaxed position and take a few deep breaths. Visualize a radiant ball of healing Qi between your palms. As you inhale, imagine drawing the Qi ball closer to your face, bringing it nearer to your eyes. With each exhale, envision the healing energy flowing into your eyes, nourishing and revitalizing them.
First, close your eyes and use your fingertips to gently massage the area around your eyes in circular motions. And then, start from the inner corner of your eye and move outwards, following the natural contour of your eye sockets. This massage enhances circulation, relieves tension, and promotes relaxation in the eye muscles.
Sit comfortably with your eyes closed. Take deep, slow breaths, allowing your body to relax. Visualize your eyes being bathed in a warm, golden light, radiating clarity and vitality. Repeat positive affirmations such as "My vision is clear and vibrant." Stay in this meditative state for a few minutes, savoring the sensations of peace and renewal.
