Biography
My journey into the energy practices began long time ago. I think the awareness and some understanding of energy has been with me my entire life, leading me to where I have come already and where I’m going to still arrive. This has been a truly wonderful path, and one of the highlights of it was Qigong, an ancient Chinese practice that I have been learning, practicing and teaching since 2016. Qigong has brought many amazing things into my life and made some transformative changes. It lets me feel connection throughout my entire body, connection to myself and to the world around me; feel the energy flow and create this flow. Qigong is much more than just a physical movement, it is a spiritual practice that focuses on health and wellbeing and brings a peace of mind. I’m very much looking forward to sharing this sacred knowledge with you during my Qigong classes in Abu Dhabi.

Biography
I’ve always liked to move, and I did lots of martial arts when I was younger as well as fitness and HIIT training. But I did not realize I needed a more holistic practice to balance all the Yang energy until I developed chronic pain during my studies and while building my corporate career. After experimenting with different yoga styles for 15 years I did an Elemental Yoga Therapy Teacher Training in Bali. I learned how to use specific exercises to activate meridians, detoxify organs, and balance emotions through mindful movement. And that brought me to White Tiger Qigong, as I had always been interested in Chinese Medicine and Sports Science and kept searching for a low-impact martial arts practice. The differences even after a short while of regular practice were dramatic: Less body pain, better sleep, and able to face everyday challenges with clarity, decisiveness and a calm mind. I’ve practiced Qigong every day since.

Biography
Joonas Pääkkönen from Helsinki, Finland joined our White Tiger Medical Qigong Teacher Certification in Bali, Indonesia. Joonas grew up in the forests of Finland and is currently working on his PhD in wireless communication theory at Aalto University, close to Helsinki. He has a strong, life-long background in endurance sports, especially orienteering and long-distance running, and his hobbies include related coaching, sports medicine, physiology and biomechanics. Struggling with chronic breathing problems eventually led him to consult a Chinese medicine doctor who quickly convinced him to try Qigong. After only a few weeks of training, it was clear that positive changes had occurred all across the board, including a more relaxed way of breathing which seemed to be key to solving several other issues. Fix your breath, and the rest of your life will fall into place, he says. — Now I have better body awareness, higher energy levels, and effectively constant stillness of mind. Further, I can connect with the presence much faster than before. Qigong is in my nature. Also, it is a fasci(a)nating area of study, alongside of the more fragmented view of Western medicine that all too often concentrates on treating all issues as they were acute, with a here-take-a-pill type of attitude. The implications of Qigong practice are profound but require plenty of self-discipline and unwavering inner focus. But once you get into the flow, it is a bit like running at a level where you do not need your feet anymore, you just go. This is when it becomes like riding the wind. — Taking it back down from the abstract, pondering level, I am convinced by the concrete efficacy of the practice for treating and preventing illness. It requires virtually no equipment or financial status. The Daoist thought is deep, with a comprehensive understanding of how the world works. And how your body mechanics' work. Coming to this with a rigorous scientific background, it is compelling for me to see how beautifully the Daoists have managed to condense their teachings to be as simple as possible yet not oversimplified. This you can see in many of the Qigong forms and their healing effects: something that might outwardly seem to be a ridiculously simple thing to do, might turn out to work like magic. Quite literally.

Biography
My interests and participation in sports and being active from a young age has led me to learn martial arts (Kung Fu) and Tai Chi / Qigong, to becoming a long time yoga practitioner and instructor, as well as a TRX instructor and now certified in 8 Trigram Organ Qigong and 5 Elements Qigong. My love of learning has guided me in continuing my education throughout the years in fascia, sports science, manual therapy to now doing a degree in Osteopathy. When I came across White Tiger Qigong and did a Level 1 workshop of the 5 Elements, it resonated with me completely. Tevia’s wonderful teaching incorporates all aspects to ensure a complete and balanced training which made me want to learn more of the Daoist style of Qigong. Not only to heal myself naturally but to share with others and integrate White Tiger Qigong with Osteopathic Therapy. Finding Tevia and White Tiger Qigong has helped me find My Way (The Way) in healing and helping others. I strongly believe that one should never stop learning, because life never stops teaching.
Biography
My interest to understand the various aspects of the human experience and keeping a healthy lifestyle led me to Yoga and Tai Chi/ Qi gong quite naturally . In 2006 while I was moving through a career change (after 10 years in a leading fine art auction house), it became obvious that I would go deeper into these disciplines although I could not say how nor when. It took another 10 years in an international humanitarian organisation and an urge to ground myself to start Tevia’s Qigong teacher training in 2017 and continue in 2018. At the same time, I developped as an energy healer. I kept on improving my Qi gong and studied Transformational yoga in Pondichery in India and am a certified 500 hrs teacher. While both practices are based on mouvement and breath, to integrate body mind and spirit, they are based on different postures and different frames of reference: Yoga and Qi gong balance and complement each other very well. Both approaches are effective ways to heal body and mind, gaining clarity and focus, healing stress and traumas. I love studying and practising them myself, as well as teaching and sharing this beautiful knowledge to see students improving their own health.

Biography
I’ve been a professional health care practitioner for most of my working life. My main career (35 years +) has been as a licensed massage therapist providing a number of bodywork styles and teaching these at times. I’m certified for 14 years as an advisor of the Metabolic Typing Diet and detox system, 11 years with Functional Diagnostic Nutrition and 4 years utilizing oxygenating therapies. I began practicing various forms of metaphysics, meditation, yoga and qigong as a teenager. Since then, I’ve studied and practiced many forms of tai chi and qigong with some excellent and extraordinary teachers including Dr. Yan Xin from China and Tevia Feng, among others… I have several years of training in TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) but have chosen not to finish these studies to be a TCM doctor. I may yet become one, but am focused primarily on bodywork, medical qigong and my other healing modalities. Another incredible healing modality that I’m preparing to facilitate soon is Holotropic Breathwork, which is in some ways quite complimentary and similar to qigong healing processes. I’ve also expanded my services to include doing Electro-Magnetic Field (EMF) radiation assessments and corrective remediation for client’s homes and offices. These high EMF frequencies are a huge source of many people's health challenges (as well as everything else biological on this planet). Practicing qigong can help “recharge” and balance out the negative effects of EMFs to a great degree. I’ve experienced profound health benefits from all of these forms of healing modalities. I’m fulfilled to pass these ancient and newer healing gifts forward to all interested, so they too can acquire the many health benefits available from them. Much Aloha to you all.

Biography
I have been interested in ‘alternative’ healing modalities since my early 20s, and had ventured down the path of learning Traditional Chinese Medicine (Qigong & Tuina) that was inspired by my then Kung Fu teacher. Apart from the hard Kung fu workouts and forms we would also practise Qigong in our lessons, we would also receive Tui Na massages for our aches and pains and would always get great recommendations about what healing foods we should eat. After many years of studying as a ‘hobby’ for both self-healing and growth Taijiquan, Kung Fu, Traditional Chinese medicine foundation, Qigong and TuiNa, I really resonated more with the healing abilities of Qigong and decided to pursue intensive training together with White Tiger Qigong school. I loved it so much I decided to leave my job in IT after 25+ years in a corporate environment – that was also making me sicker and sicker. to learn and practice more to be able to share it. I have since studied to become an 'Integrative Health Coach' and am a student of life - all things health and healing related for my own healing journey and to share with others.

Biography
Bruce started his journey into Qigong at the age of seventy. Following a visit to his trusted doctor, he was advised that the normal route for ageing males was a regime of tablets and medication to off-set the ‘inevitable’ effects of getting older. Bruce, having dabbled with Tai Chi many years earlier decided that this practice might just offer an alternative and he subsequently organised his own trip to China to learn Chen style Taiji alongside amazing, and much younger, Kung Fu students. His three-week programme also led him to discover a mysterious practice called Qigong. Since returning to UK he has been studying Qigong and Taiji with the Eva and Karel Koskuba and Mark Jones both 19th/20th Generation Lineage holders of Chen Family Taijiquan. He went on to gain his set 1 and 2 Shibashi teacher qualification with Catherine Burnett who is a linage holder from Sifu Wing Cheung. Recently he qualified as a teacher in Dragon Fly Qigong with Sifu Steve Green who trained at the Nam Yang Pugilistic Association in Thailand. He is now immensely proud to have achieved recognition as a White Tiger Qigong Instructor level one at age 73. He teaches at his local gym and his main interest is reaching out to older people who, like himself may not have been very active over a working life, want to develop and sustain physical and mental well being in later years.

I discovered that I could connect on a deeper level with my body and my organs, and at the same time, feel the Qi flow and my connection to the earth and to the sky. Each day, I could feel that I had more energy, my mind was clearer, without forgetting to mention the emotional transformation, which was quite impressive. Tevia is a very caring and generous teacher. He shares his treasures of this ancient Chinese practice, the latest sport science discoveries, and link between the two. It is fascinating to learn with him. I also practice and teach vinyasa yoga and yin yoga. Yoga and Qigong are complementary in my practice, and they nurture each other. At first, I was practicing to reduce back pain and to have a better emotional balance. After years of practice, they have also been a way to reconnect to myself, to nature, and to others on a deeper level; to be more grounded by growing strong roots into the earth, which allow me to be fully present, centered, aligned and to blossom. I would be extremely happy and honored to share this Qigong practice with you in the South of France or by Zoom.

Vince Sauter has been studying Qigong and Tai Chi since 1997 at various local classes. He is now a Senior Trainer with the Institute of Integral Qigong and Tai Chi. In 2013 Vince started teaching Qigong and Tai Chi classes locally and soon after was hired by the Omega Institute in Rhinebeck, NY. Since that time, Vince has continued to practice and study to expand his knowledge and provide a powerful learning experience for his students. Among his certifications are the following: Senior Trainer with Institute of Integral Qigong and Tai Chi. Level One Instructor White Tiger 5 Element Qigong. Certified in The Fundamentals of Rehabilitative Qigong and Tai Chi Level one. Certified Qigong Healer. Certified as a Tai Chi Qigong Shibashi Instructor. Vince has studied with Michael Reed Gach, Ph.D., founder of the Acupressure Institute to better understand the role of the meridians and pressure points in the body and how it all interconnects with the healing aspects of Medical Qigong and Tai Chi. This combination of training has allowed him to connect with his students on a very different level and has helped him build the type of classes and workshops that he had always looked for but was unable to find on his own healing journey. Vince tries to focus on keeping the cultivation of Qi accessible to everyone by presenting “Tai Chi Easy” developed by Dr. Jahnke, founder of the Institute of Integral Qigong and Tai Chi, as a foundation for learning. This form integrates gentle movements with meditation and self-massage that will help to reduce stress, improve balance, and improve overall health and well-being. This foundation can then be expanded upon so the student can develop a long lasting personal practice of Qigong and Tai Chi. In 2018 Vince published his first book “Everyday All day” to aid in developing your own personal practice. The book explores ways to incorporate Qigong into your everyday life to reap the most benefit from the practice. Since the onset of Covid-19 Vince has taken all of his in person classes online. Links to these classes can be found on his website. He is also doing online classes for Mirbeau Inn and Spas as well as practice leader trainings for the Healer Within Foundation and the Institute for Integral Qigong and Tai Chi
Biography
Hello and thank you for your interest in my work as a White Tiger Qigong Instructor and Coach. I did not seek out Qigong, it found me…twice. I was stunned by my first experience that shifted my emotional state when after a meditation session that left me feeling intense anger changed to peace in a matter of about 20 minutes during an interactive Qigong demo. The second experience would be years later when I started experiencing body pain most likely due to a stressful year. I was looking for relief from both western and naturopathic doctors but they could not explain or help me relieve the aches in my joints. One doctor actually suggested I take pain medication until whatever is causing the pain rears its ugly head. That was unacceptable to me so I dove into medical Qigong that appeared on my FB when I felt desperate and afraid not knowing what was going on in my body. Today I can say, I don’t have the pain and I attribute that solely to Qigong and that is why I am such a huge believer. I believe in it so much that I’ve made it my mission to share this practice with others far and wide because I believe our modern society needs this ancient practice more than ever. I am working with people who are looking to stop suffering both emotionally and/or physically…just like I was. I truly believe in turning my traumas into treasures and Qigong has been vital in helping me do that by turning negative energy into something positive. I had disconnected from my body after years of sexual abuse and emotional abandonment that created an emotional eating disorder to bury the pain. Through Qigong I have experienced a deeper connection to my body, myself and Spirit. I am humbled and empowered when I practice myself into a flow state where I feel I am in co-creation of my life with Spirit. It is pure bliss. I have taught yoga and meditation but Qigong is what changed my life immensely and I am so grateful to be able to lean into this practice every day to decrease stress, increase vitality and connect to my higher power. I am humbled to be able to help my clients experience numerous shifts and deeper connections in their lives as well. There are so many versions of Qigong but the reason I love White Tiger so much is two fold. First for healing my body pain and second, how it is fused with the sports science of flossing, kinetic chains and fascia. The science takes out the woo woo and gives me the understanding of how the practice works to maximize my human potential. It’s literally a life changing practice and that is why I’m excited that Qigong has found you too! I look forward to meeting you soon.
Biography
Imagine how amazing it would be to literally feel the wonder of life reverberating within you. Well, that is the mission of Dr. Carla Stovall, WTQ instructor of 8 Trigram Organ Qigong. Carla is a multi-instrumental musician, professor, and sound healing practitioner from Alabama. She holds a PhD in Music and Neuroscience Research from the University of Alabama, and her passion is coupling sound-healing with Qigong. The two art forms work synergistically to heal trauma, eliminate toxins, and get the nervous system into a parasympathetic state. The Qigong wakes up the mind and body, opens the visceral fascia, and dilates the energy meridians before the sound therapy takes place. It basically opens everything up and gets the energy flowing so the sound waves can get in deep for a cellular “tune-up.” Therapeutic sound tools then produce sound waves which work through sympathetic resonance to travel wherever they are needed. As sound moves to the parts of the body which are ‘out of tune,’ we return to a natural rhythm and frequency. The Six Healing Sounds of Qigong inspired Carla’s idea to couple traditional sound-healing with Qigong. This ancient Qigong method also uses sound vibration to transform negative emotions into positive virtues. It involves the coordination of movement and breathing patterns with specific sounds. The main difference is that Carla utilizes traditional sound-healing instruments in addition to the human voice. “Thank you so much to Tevia, Sarah and the WTQ team for teaching me the tools I need to create lasting health on cellular and energetic levels. My Qigong journey has been a life- changing healing experience, and I’m so grateful to have this beautiful practice in my life.”
Biography
I have always been active in sports like swimming, rowing, bicycling and Martial Arts. But as I was getting older, I kept getting more and more injuries from these sports. What I found was, that all these sports were about force from me and outwards. Also, as a professional in IT technology, I’m constantly delivering on deadlines and others’ expectations. Often feeling stressed and fatigue. Time for a change, I wanted something more inward. I turned to Qigong and have over the years tried different Qigong styles. But it never really got to me. Could not feel the Qi and not understand the deeper purpose of the movements. In White Tiger Qigong™ I truly get to see myself from within, get a more complex layer in the movements forcing me to be more focused and getting deeper into my Qigong practice. White Tiger Qigong™ have removed the pain from physical traumas, brought back mobility but also cleared my mind and released the stagnation of anger and frustration from my Liver. I have never felt calmer and more relaxed in my mind. Looking forward to sharing my knowledge with others, that also seek to inner peace and more vitality.

I'm originally a linguistic professional, and nowadays I work also as an energy healing facilitator, a meditation instructor and – of course – a White Tiger Qigong Instructor. I’m a sports enthusiast and I love to exercise and to have my daily endorphin highs. My journey in the energy healing has introduced me to the world of energies that circulate inside our bodies and beyond, and I was thrilled to find Qigong, a holistic form of physical exercise where you can feel the energy flows and target and direct them according to your needs. Qigong doesn’t only give your body much needed movement, but it also nourishes the energy flows in a very healthy way, not exhausting your resources but replenishing them instead. My mission is to help people become aware of energies, and I want to show them how they can learn to feel the energy flows inside their bodies so that they can use the enormous potential of these energies for their own physical and mental wellbeing. As you may know, a free energy flow is essential for the proper functioning of our bodies as well as for peak performance and a happy mind!

With the certainty that we need to take responsibility for our own health in this life, I started a quest to find something that would allow me to do just that. It has been an interesting and long journey through Art, Therapy, Yoga and Tai Chi, to finally arrive to Qi Gong. Qi Gong has exceeded my expectations. With the Meridian and the 8 Trigram Qi Gong I feel able to improve and maintain my physical and emotional health to an extent I have not found before. From releasing tension from a very old shoulder contracture quite quickly with a regular practise, to creating energy and concentration at times where I was exhausted before. It gives me the power to, no matter what happens, go back to Qi Gong and care, potentially cure and anchor myself again. Being a certified instructor now in 8 Trigram Qi Gong - always learning though - I wish I can pass this powerful health system to others, in spanish or english.

The Fighting and Self Defense was just a side practice for me. I also always struggled with my back. Since Birth I had something called Scheuermann's Disease, which is a deformation of the Vertebrae and results in the Spine forming Strong curves in multiple directions, causing a Hunchback and Misalignment. I often glanced at Tai Chi and thought maybe this might be better for me, also did some Yoga and tried some other Martial Arts as I was looking for a practice bringing Meditation, Breathwork and Movement together, while also having the right treatment for my Spine. When I came across White Tiger Qigong I was hooked immediately. The deep insights into Ancient Breathwork, Daoism, Chinese Medicine together with Sports Science seemed a revolutionary Idea to me. It was exactly the practice I was looking for! Within a short timespan I noticed my Back Pain fading away, my Emotions stabilizing, my Meditation deepening, my Qi Flowing and my Body feeling amazing. That's when I decided I want to share this practice with others and become a Teacher of the Art of Qigong.
